AI Innovation Convergence University Project Group Successfully Hosts the “2025 AI Career Camp in Collaboration with Seoul Capital Area Universities”

The AI Innovation Convergence University Project Group (led by Professor Jae-Hyun Kim) successfully held the 2025 AI Career Camp in Collaboration with Seoul Capital Area Universities from July 24 to 25 as a one-night, two-day program. The camp targeted 39 high school students from the Gunsan region and was held at the Hoam Hall Hybrid Advanced Lecture Room on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus of Sungkyunkwan University, at the request of the Gunsan Education Advancement Foundation. The main focus was to provide students with a hands-on experience to deepen their interest and understanding in the field of artificial intelligence.

Participants began with an “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” and explored the use of generative AI tools. A highlight of the camp was a hands-on session in “Vibe Coding,” a cutting-edge technology where students describe functions in natural language, and AI automatically generates the corresponding code to build webpages and databases. This became a core component of the educational content. Students also created and distributed content based on their individual areas of interest, helping them develop practical skills.

Professor Jae-Hyun Kim, Director of the AI Innovation Convergence University Project Group, remarked, “This camp was a meaningful opportunity for students to explore future career paths by experiencing advanced technologies in the AI field firsthand. We will continue working with various educational institutions to provide regional youth with broader career exploration opportunities.”

Meanwhile, the project group plans to continue offering a wide range of programs like this camp to strengthen students’ future competencies and expand opportunities for in-depth academic experience.
