Last year, 55 law school candidates who passed the bar exam were appointed as new prosecutors.
It turned out that number of candidates from so-called “SKY” (SNU, Korea, Yonsei) universities dropped sharply this year.
SKKU Law School has produced 9 students (16.4%), becoming the No.1 school this year. Yonsei University’s Law School produced 8 candidates while Seoul National University and Korea University produced 6 candidates each.
In the previous year, nearly half of the candidates were from the “SKY” universities. It is observed that the backgrounds of candidates are becoming more diverse.
