SKKU Quantum Information Research Support Center 

holds 2022 Quantum Week


SKKU Quantum Information Research Support Center, along with related organizations such as the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea, has set June 27 to July 1 as “2022 Quantum Week” to spread public awareness of quantum technology, a game-changer for future industries and security and various events is being held.



The theme of this Quantum Week is ‘Building Quantum Technology Powerhouse Together, Opening Quantum Information Era’. Starting with the opening ceremony, various events such as Quantum Industry Day, Quantum Information Science Competition, Quantum Information contest, and Q- Docking Day will be held. In addition, a booth for global companies related to quantum computing, research results of contributions, and demonstration exhibitions of the quantum cloud at SKKU Quantum Information Research Support Center will be prepared in the space in front of the venue.



At the opening ceremony held on the 27th, more than 250 people attended, including the Minister of Science and ICT, the president of the National Research Foundation of Korea, and the president of SKKU, insight meeting and screening of global leaders, rewards for merit, and special lectures were held.



In particular, as world masters in the field of quantum technology, IonQ founder and co-representative, professor Jungsang Kim of Duke University and professor Myungshik Kim of Imperial College London delivered vivid stories about the present-future of quantum technology and the situation in the U.S. and Europe through an insight meeting, giving attendees as an opportunity to further broaden their insight into quantum technology. The opening video will be released later on the YouTube channel.
