College of Education Successfully Completed the Online Meeting for Parents of Freshmen

The College of Education (Dean Jae Hyoun Kim) held an online meeting of freshmen’s parents at Live Virtual Studio in the Business building for two hours from 7 P.M. on June 29 (Wed).

College of Education Dean Jae Hyoun Kim, Department of Education department chair Jung Ho Yang, Department of Classical Chinese department chair Young Ju Kim, Department of Mathematics department chair Sang Woon Yun, Department of Computer Education department chair Chun-Su Park, and staff members participated offline, and about 30 parents participated via online Zoom.

This meeting was designed to inspire freshmen’s sense of belonging and to form a consensus through more detailed school introduction and guidance to parents. The dean of the College of Education introduced the current status and vision of the College of Education, the heads of departments introduced the curriculum and career path by department, and the senior students boasted about their department and introduced the student council. Vice President of Student Affairs, professor Sang Hoon Bae, who is participating in the national territory journey in Jeju Island, attended the <Special Lecture on Student Success> online.

Due to the keen interest in the university where their children are attending, in addition to the questions they received in advance, various questions such as career and double majors continued, and they had an active communication time through events such as customized information for parents and school-related quizzes.

College of Education Dean Kim said, “We will continue to try to have frequent opportunities to communicate with students and parents through various programs.”
