SKKU signs Joint Research MOU with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital
for Future Clinics Converged Academic Research

SKKU and Kangbuk Samsung Hospital (Director Hyun Chul Shin) signed an MOU of future clinics to converge academic research that leads development and innovation of medical treatment.
Both institutions promised to cooperate for joint research in the medical-based convergence field which combines basic, source, and applied technology to the medical field. The system of joint research is to reflect the opinions of medical sites and provides new services, allowing them to form a virtuous cycle of positive feedback and creative research.
SKKU President, Dong Ryeol Shin, said, “Bio-technology field is one of the school’s main interests and we are spending efforts to form a converged bio-health research cluster that can lead future society value creation. With the research cooperation of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, we expect to have innovative R&D accomplishments that can solve the big problems of the biotechnology field.”
Kangbuk Samsung Hospital Director, Hyun Chul Shin, said, “Kangbuk Samsung Hospital is trying to take the chance of leading the new research field where ICT technologies such as digital healthcare, un-tact technology, and artificial intelligence are combined with medical treatments. Cooperation with SKKU will overcome the limits of medical sites and make new opportunities which will greatly contribute to the realization of social value, or in other words, enhancement of human health.”
