The Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education, Held a Starting Ceremony of Student Success Supporters 


SKKU’s Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education held a starting ceremony of Student Success Supporters at Humanities and Social Sciences Campus on October 23 (Fri).

Since September, the final four students (Min-Young Jhe, Sung-Bing Lim, Ji-soo Ahn, and In-Woo Seo) selected through the document and interview screening will serve as the 1st Student Success Supporters to promote programs of the Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education and extra-curricular activities to students. In particular, the supporters are composed of two students from the humanities and social sciences campus and two from the natural sciences campus, so that it can be expected to deliver balanced information to students from both campuses.

At the starting ceremony, Prof. Moon-Pyo Hong, the director of Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education, awarded the appointment certificate to the supporters and supporters established their determination. Additionally, there was a discussion on the direction of supporters’ activities and the projects of the Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education.


The Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education at SKKU is conducting various programs that increase skills of student success such as global mindset, civic awareness, convergence, entrepreneurship, and self-directedness. Examples include the Co-Deep Learning, the convergence foundation project, and the civic awareness of “su-ki-chi-in”. Student success supporters are expected to promote programs of the Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education through online communities to help students succeed at Sungkyunkwan University.


The staff from the Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education said, “The student success supporters are actively engaged in promoting SKKU’s vision. I hope lots of people pay attention to the activities of student success supporters who will perform their activities mainly through online communities, including Instagram, YouTube, and Blogs.”
