A project team from SKKU’s Graduate School of China (Dean Yongjune KIM, hereafter GSC) received a participation award atthe “4th Young Start-up League” held on June 28th.

The participants of the league were start-up owners with less than 3 years of experience and the topic was about ideas for restaurant and food business. They started receiving ideas since February and selected 12 teams for the final round. The 12 teams prepared for the final round by spending time with expert mentors and joining lectures.

GSC’s team won the participation award after proposing a start-up idea for “new distribution” (on and offline distribution method using big data and AI), which is a term popular in China. They suggested that it will increase efficiency and benefit both farmers and small business owners. The team is performing curator service for farmers and gained profit by selling directly to the small business owners.

This is the fourth year of the Young Start-up League and it is run by joint cooperation of Hite Jinro Corp. and Seoul Start-up Hub.
