grace the venue.

During the welcoming speech, President Shin said, “We appreciate your determination to donate in a time of hardships due to COVID and family’s consensus on it. For the development of the Department of Chemistry, the department leaping toward the global level, and the school will invest extra efforts to contribute to the community by bringing in excellent professors and students.

Mr. Ha said in his greeting speech, “I had a grateful life thanks to graduating from SKKU Chemistry. In the early 2000s, we were raising funds for the ‘Chemistry Building Construction Fund’ and the Chairman of the Chemistry Alumnus Association at the time, Alumni Sun Chang had asked for help but only donated KRW 1 million because my economic situation was not favorable conditions and has always been in my mind ever since. I thought the only way to help the university contribute to the prosperity and development of the country is, by donation. I will always remember my school SKKU and pray for its development.

The Chemistry Development Fund of Mr. Ha will be provided to graduate school students and professors who published a paper of IF more than 10 as scholarships and incentives.
