Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP)
The overall goal of the proposed research program is to understand the physics of low dimensional structures and to push the limit of sensitivity and spatial resolution in the measurement of nanomaterials by designing multi-modal nanoscopy systems. The CINAP is an interdisciplinary research center focused on nanostructure research incorporating condensed matter physics, biophysics, organic and inorganic chemistry, and material science through five research groups. It also operates a summer camp to invigorate basic science and invites worldwide experts in the area of nanoscience for a winter camp.
Research Areas
- Synthesis of hybrid nanostructures and their new functional properties
- Structural/spectroscopic analysis
- Photo-thermoelectricity
- Correlation nanoscopy
- Computational modeling
