Sungkyunkwan University, Evaluation of Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Development Support Project Rated as 'Excellent'



Our university has been rated as 'excellent' (the highest rating) in the evaluation of the 'Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Development Support Project' conducted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology in 2023.


Our university has been selected as the leading university for the 'Bio/Digital Healthcare' consortium, and along with Gachon University, Kangwon National University, Konyang University, Kyung Hee University, Daejin University, and Incheon National University, we have jointly established and operated DNA-X School, receiving a total of 7.5 billion won in government support over six years starting from 2022.


Our university was selected as an 'excellent' consortium leading university among a total of 13 leading universities in the 2023 stage evaluation, receiving differential support of 20 million won.


Our consortium, through the 'Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Development Support Project,' aims to ▲ develop specialized education programs tailored to industrial demands, ▲ strengthen capstone design, ▲ enhance participation in industry-academia collaboration, ▲ share innovative activities among universities, and ▲ promote dissemination of achievements, ▲ aimed at fostering talents in the field of 'Data, Network, AI (DNA) Connect Bio/Digital Healthcare Industry Leading Innovative DNA-X Engineering Talent.'


Jun-young Lee, the head of the project team (Director of the Engineering Education Innovation Center), stated, "The reason we were able to receive an excellent evaluation is due to the proactive participation of the consortium's participating universities and the comprehensive support provided by our university's headquarters to the Engineering Education Innovation Center." He further added, "We will continue to strive for the cultivation of talents who can create infinite experiences through the cross-cutting innovative DNA and experience."
