SKKU-KOICA Signs MOU


 

Last January 30 (Wed) 11:30am, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU, President, Jun-Young Kim) signed a MOU with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to cooperate on building an effective system of free international business development.
The two parties decided to collaborate in numerous areas such as; invitation training projects for developing countries, experts dispatch, World Friends Korea(WFK) dispatch, project based businesses (ex.: water resources development), joint or commissioned research for developing countries’ cooperative development, as well as building, operating and evaluating non-profit technical cooperation projects.

Furthermore, the joint project regarding water resources with SKKU’s Graduate School of Water Resources, which expected to open in March 2013 and founded for the purpose of training manpower for the global water business, is expected to become highly active.

President Kim stated that SKKU plans to expand its overseas manpower training through collaborative efforts made with KOICA as well as strengthen SKKU’s reputation as a global leading university by integrating education and research programs into overseas businesses.
