Last January 15(Local Time), BBC broadcasted a news by quoting the Cambridge IP, patent consulting company, stating that “Samsung takes world top place in the number of graphene related patents for companies, while Sungkyunkwan University occupies top place among research institutes.” Samsung company has 407 patents on graphene. It is 3 times more than USA IBM (134 of patent) at second place. SKKU is number 1 among research institutes with 134 patents on graphene. In terms of country, China is the world’s top place (2204 of patent), second place is USA (1754 of patent), Korea (1160 of patent) at third place, and England (54 of patent) fourth.
