The School of Business (Dean: Sang Man HAN) held an ‘Alumni Mentoring Scholarship Donation Ceremony’ on Dec 6th (Tue) and Dec 9th (Fri).

This alumnus matching scholarship was given for the first time this year, in order to encourage junior students’ academic success. The scholarship which was donated by alumni of the School of Business was given to 45 of the most talented students (22 students from Department of Business Administration, 23 students from Department of Global Business Administration) in the school. Through a 1:1 matching system, each student is allocated an alumnus member who supports their studies through the scholarship system. As well as monetary support, the alumni act as mentors for the students.

Yong Joo JEON, the chair of the alumnus association of the School of Business said, “Our alumnus will participate in this program more actively, so that more students can be supported financially, as well as spiritually, through this mentor-mentee program.”

Every student who received the scholarship gave a thank you letter to his/her mentor. Ji Woo PARK, a representative of the student association gave thanks by saying, “we will remember the purpose of this scholarship and try hard to become core talents of the society who can give back this benefit to our junior colleagues."

The alumni association of the School of Business will exert themselves to broaden networks between alumnus and current students attending the university; and to develop many projects to support students in the future.
