The 26th Sungkyun Family Award Ceremony for 2022 was held on Dec. 16 (Fri) at the 600th Anniversary Hall of the HSSC. The award ceremony was attended by President Dong Ryeol Shin and Vice President Joonmo Cho of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus to congratulate and encourage the winners.

At this 26th Sungkyun Family Award, a total of 15 awardees were selected as winners in a total of 5 categories.

In a congratulatory speech, President Shin expressed special gratitude to the student awardees for their hard work and efforts, which became the center of a dynamic student success culture despite the restrictions caused by COVID-19, saying, “Congratulations on the award of all those who greatly increased the honor and pride of our SKKU family, and let’s devote ourselves to becoming a respected and dignified university that contributes to the development of humanity and society.” 

As the awardees’ representative, Prof. Sojeong Park (Department of Confucian and Oriental Studies, winner of the Academic/Education category) expressed her love and appreciation for SKKU through her acceptance speech.

The Sungkyun Family Award is the most prestigious award of SKKU, with a total of 334 people (teams) awarded until the 26^th award this year since 1997. It honors faculty, staff, and student who have contributed greatly to the development of SKKU by practicing the teachings of benevolence, justice, courtesy, and knowledge (仁義禮智) based on the founding philosophy of developing oneself physically and mentally to lead the world (修己治人).
