Prof. Hyunjin Park (Electrical/Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence) has produced the tenure track of assistant professors for the fourth time in the Medical Image Processing Lab (MIPL). The lab, led by Prof. Hyunjin Park, has conducted brain image processing and its understanding, artificial intelligence technology-based radiology, and imaging genetics fusion analysis research with hospitals and medical schools.

According to Prof. Hyunjin Park, the laboratory has produced a total of nine PhD students, and four of them have been successfully appointed as full-time professors within two years of graduation.

Dr. Ji Hye Won, appointed in March of 2023, completed all her academic studies at our university and focused on analyzing the relationship between brain imaging and genetic information, and used it to find biologically meaningful Biomarkers. As a result, she published an outstanding result as a first author of four SCI-grade journals (including the Top 5%). Dr. Ji Hye Won said, "We will continue to study artificial intelligence systems that support data analysis and decision-making using healthcare data.

In addition, Dr. Cho Han-ho, who was appointed in March 2022, completed all his academic studies at our university and worked with medical staff from various medical institutions during his degree to quantify the patient's condition in the imaging and conducted an experiment to predict the prognosis of the disease. Dr. Cho Han-ho achieved to make excellent results as the first author of eight SCI-grade journals (including the Top 10%). Dr. Cho Hwan-ho said, "I was able to understand various biomedical data through convergence research. With this, I had the opportunity to be equipped with convergence capabilities in the engineering and biomedical fields."

Meanwhile, Prof. Hyunjin Park’s lab produced, from Prof. Bo Young Park (Combined Bachelor & Master Program ’15), who was appointed in March 2021, and Prof. Man-soo Kim (Doctor ’16), with the fourth tenure track of assistant professors of Dr. Cho Han-ho and Dr. Ji Hye Won.
