K-MOOC, selected as demonstrating outstanding digital education capabilities of 2023
In 2023, our university's strengths, specialization, new technology, and demand for new industries were selected for the third stage K-MOOC leading university project (hosted by the Ministry of Education's National Institute of Lifelong Education). This achievement once again proves our university’s excellent digital education capabilities.
SKKU’s excellent educational content developed and provided through K-MOOC is externally used as lifelong education for the public, job training courses for elementary, middle, and high school teachers nationwide, and regular courses at major higher education institutions.
The cumulative total cost of the project, secured by 81 courses developed so far, amounted to 4.63 billion KRW for 8 years since 2015.
The Education and Development Center of the Office of Education (Director Bae Sang-hoon), which organizes the project, plans to continue to promote the K-MOOC content project to discover and produce high-quality educational content to contribute to lifelong learning. In addition, through SKKU Online, an open learning platform, it plans to build a global SKKU Learning Hub that leads ESG practice and digital transformation (DX) of university education by promoting educational content projects that expand not only on the school campus but also to the outside and of the global.
