Sungkyunkwan University and Microsoft Korea sign MOU for industry-academic cooperation

- Leverage Microsoft's technology and know-hows

- Strengthening IT capabilities and operating employment and start-up support programs for students at Sungkyunkwan University

Our university has signed an industry-academic cooperation MOU with Microsoft Korea (CEO Ji-eun Lee) at the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus on April 24 (Mon). Through this agreement, our university aims to accelerate the establishment of future-oriented partnerships through strengthened collaboration in advanced fields such as AI (Artificial Intelligence), Big Data, and Cloud with Microsoft Korea.

Both institutions have agreed to introduce and operate student and education support programs at Sungkyunkwan University, including ▲ the establishment of educational infrastructure for cultivating cloud, data, and AI talents ▲ mutual cooperation for nurturing cloud professionals and promoting start-ups and entrepreneurship ▲ collaborative development of education programs for spreading software value ▲ mutual cooperation for university advancement and globalization utilizing Microsoft's latest technology.

President Ji-beom Yoo stated, "The educational landscape is undergoing unprecedented changes due to AI technology," and said, "Through collaboration with Microsoft, the world's leading IT company, we can implement education services of a higher level."

Ji-eun Lee, CEO of Microsoft Korea, stated, "We plan to collaborate to make Sungkyunkwan University a successful case of digital transformation in the domestic education field," and added, "We aim to help many students, including those from Sungkyunkwan University, develop the necessary IT skills and competitiveness for the global era through Microsoft's latest technology."
