Special Lecture of "Publishing Financial Research in SSCI Journals"

Sungkyun Institute of Economic Research (SIER) (Director: Professor Du-jin Ryu, Department of Economics) and ICT Innovation Talent 4.0 Project Team (Director: Professor Eun-il Park, Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence) will jointly host an invited lecture series by overseas scholars.

On Friday, July 7th, at 10:00 a.m., Professor Robert I. Webb, the Eminent Research Professor at the University of Virginia's research division (Paul Tudor Jones II Eminent Research Professor & Martin J. Patsel Jr. Eminent Research Professor), will give a lecture on "Publishing Financial Research in SSCI Journals" at our university.

Professor Webb received his Ph.D. by studying under Nobel Laureates Eugene Fama and Myron Scholes at the University of Chicago. He has served as a professor at Loyola University of Chicago and the University of Southern California and is currently employed at UVA McIntire School of Commerce, one of the top 10 business schools in the United States in the field of Business/Finance. He has held significant positions in the finance industry and policy, including at the World Bank, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group), and the Executive Office of the President in the White House.

In this lecture, based on his experience as the Editor-in-Chief of the internationally renowned SSCI academic journal of Futures Markets for 24 years in the field of derivative financial products, Professor Webb will provide a lecture on writing research papers for publication in internationally renowned academic journals. The lecture is open to all members of our university, including postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students, and faculty members.
