The Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education Strengthens Start-up Support through the 19th Introductory Workshop

The Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education (or “Center”), led by Professor Se-young Lee as the director, will hold the 19th Introductory Workshop for university students with passions and ideas for start-ups. The event, under the slogan “Start-up! Challenge UP! Success UP!,” is scheduled to take place from July 4th (Tues) to August 17th (Thurs), lasting for about a month and a half.

A total of over 40 university students selected from 26 departments will participate in this project. Participants will analyze the changing demands and trends of society, and develop innovative solutions that align with them while exploring the potential for commercialization. A representative of the Center stated, "Through this process, participants will have the opportunity to propose creative solutions to various social issues."

Participants will have the opportunity to plan and realize innovative projects by combining their respective expertise and ideas. To support this, the Center will provide the necessary technology and knowledge through professional mentors and cooperative partners from companies, enabling participants to gain start-up experience.

The goal of this Introductory Workshop is to derive creative ideas and commercialize them in various fields such as △social issue resolution △information technology △environmental protection △medicine. In particular, the project will focus on the development of creative and practical solutions, utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies such as ChatGPT, a generative AI.

Director Se-young Lee of the Knowledge Center for Innovative Higher Education stated, "This Introductory Workshop will be a valuable opportunity for university students who are eager to challenge start-ups to develop practical entrepreneurial experience and capabilities for commercialization." He expressed expectations that "through the process of students from various majors collaborating to enhance their ideas, they will develop creative problem-solving and innovative business models."
