SKKU MBA, Active Exchange with World MBA Programs

Sungkyunkwan University’s Graduate School of Business (SKK GSB, President Robert C. Klemlkosky) is increasing its global competitiveness as the top Asian MBA program, actively exchanging with world renowned MBA programs.

On June 24, following the MOU with Chinese MBA, Sungkyunkwan University’s GSB is going forward with internationalization by signing more MOUs with MBA program of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology(HKUST) and Peking University.

Following the Student Dispatch Arrangement signed with HKUST last month, SKK GSB has signed the Student Exchange Agreement with Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, the most prestigious university in China, on June 12.  SKK GSB will dispatch or exchange 5 students every year with both universities.

Along with China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), MBA of HKUST and Peking University are representative programs in China. HKUST MBA is the best MBA program in Asia, evaluated as the No.10 MBA program in the world by the Financial Times(FT). Peking University’s MBA is also ranked No. 54, currently attracting attention with its influence in China.

■ SKK GSB, Top Ranking in Asia

At the beginning of 2012, SKKU GSB has been recognized as a global MBA, ranking No. 11 over Harvard University and Standford University on Financial Times (FT) rankings in the field of ‘internationalization program’. Moreover, SKK GSB has ranked No. 66 on the FT Global MBA rankings before. This evaluation is significant in that SKK GSB is the highest ranking day-time MBA program among local universities. Being identified as a top ranking MBA in Asia is expected to boost SKK GSB’s ranking of ‘internationalization’.

Robert C. Klemlkosky, president of SKKU GSB said “SKK GSB has not only made student exchanges with prestigious MBA programs in the United States but also with the quickly growing business schools in China” and added that it will be a “chance to foster a broad understanding of the world with talented students who will lead the Chinese economy.”

In the upcoming month of July, SKK GSB is expected to sign the MOU with University of Chile.

■ SKKU Graduates, Actively Working Abroad

SKK GSB graduates are achieving excellent results in terms of internationalization. One in three SKK GSB graduates who have graduated within the past three years has been working for an overseas business. Based on survey results of 184 MBA graduates from 2009 to 2011, 58 graduates or 32 % are working abroad or are in charge of overseas part at domestic businesses. Study shows that 44 graduates are working overseas and 14 graduate students are in charge of overseas market business.
