Establishment of an Integrated Open Learning Platform, SKKU Online

- Access High-quality lectures wherever, whenever, with ease @online.skku.edu


After the COVID-19 pandemic, the digital transformation of university education methods and contents is accelerating due to the development of edu-tech based on digital technology. Globally prestigious universities especially are continuing to test various attempts in providing education/research content to the whole world and expanding the value of high-level education and learning horizon to another dimension.


According to this, SKKU has also established open learning platform, SKKU Online, providing e-learning service, creating a lifelong learning ecosystem where students, alumni, and anyone interested in university education can easily access high-quality educational content which aims to share knowledge and contribute to global/local society.

President Dong Ryeol Shin, said, “By collecting and curating high-quality e-learning content and sharing it with the global society, we will expand access to knowledge information about university education and practice social responsibility (ESG), commercialize it as an education (B2B) platform for companies and enter global e-learning markets such as Coursera and EdX.”


Selected curriculums of each academic field such as liberal arts, history, philosophy, humanities, economics and management, art, natural science, IT, software, engineering, bio, medicine, and sports, and SKKU Online learning communities will be connected to provide the best digital education contents and learning experiences to global learners under the motto of LEAP (learning, experience, and practice).


The Vice President of Humanities and Social Sciences Campus, Junmo Cho, commented on the establishment saying, “SKKU Online will serve as an opportunity to promote global/innovation classes, which are on-off hybrid innovation education models of SKKU, and will play an important role in the transformation of university education dimension.”


SKKU Online offers 624 years of intellectual property, teaching and learning experience, practical and informative expertise, and the best content of excitement and insight.
